With summer right around the corner, we are thinking about BBQs with family and ways to cool off from the summer heat. Many of us jump into a nearby lake or pool to be refreshed.
However, many children are not strong swimmers. Luckily, we are partnered with multiple organizations throughout King County who have indoor pools and offer swimming lessons. Some have scholarships and financial assistance available. In addition, many pools offer family swim time if your child just needs to become more comfortable around water.

Seattle Parks and Rec Department:
Offer swimming lessons at local community centers.
Average cost is around $50.00 for 6 classes. A one day swimming pass for youth is $3.75 and $5.00 for adults. Scholarships and financial assistance are available and vary by location. More information available here.

Average cost to join is $100, then an additional monthly fee. The membership gives you access to the pool and swimming lessons are an additional cost.
