Calling all creative teens for Design Your (Neighbor)Hood!

DETAILS :

Application available here! Contact sbloom@seattleartmuseum.org and gwen.wessels@seattle.gov with completed applications or with any questions.

Seattle Art Museum and Seattle Parks & Recreation are looking for innovative teens to be a part of Design Your [Neighbor]Hood! Teens will reimagine and redesign the Teen Room at the Bitter Lake Community Center, gathering inspiration from site visits to design organizations, cool spaces around the city, museums, and your own interests! This multi-session, work-readiness program is designed to guide teens in developing their leadership skills and becoming design thinkers and change makers.

Design Your Neighborhood will be based at the Bitter Lake Community Center and will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 4-6pm and Saturdays  from 1-5pm. The program will begin Tuesday, February 7 and run until Saturday April 14th . Participants who attend all sessions will receive a stipend, community service credit, and will also be eligible to apply for a paid summer internship at SAM.
